So start from the beginning, I was never a fan of any band, artist nor actors/actress. I've always been a passionate music lover though, and my all time favorite artists were Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. Songs like Hero, I Will Always Love You still hold a special place in my heart. I grow up with old Chinese artists (like Jacky Cheung) too.
Like every other girl on my age, I listened to Backstreet Boys back in junior high; but I was never fascinated enough to become a fan. I think I only own one cd of them, hahha! After I entred university, oldies from 80's captured my attention. George Michael, Michael Bolton, Richard Marx, Glenn Frey, Phil Collins were all among my favorites.
My introduction into the Kpop world and TVXQ fandom was definitely a random one. One day I was bored and surfed around Youtube, and somehow I stumbled on a few fanmade YunJae videos, and I was really fascinated. Living in the Northern Europe you don't exactly see men interact intimate like that.
Later I discovered that they were actually part of a band, and I think I spent a week digging through Youtube for TVXQ related videos. I didnt' really have a favorite song or video that made me a fan, but I was truly amazed by their vocal talents. In my eager I joined a few forums out there, amongst them the unofficial European fanclub Phoenix and became a staff at DBSK Sleepless Nights. I made my own fanvideos of the boys, which actually received quite good response from the Youtube community.
As the time past, I turned to become a firm Yoosu believer - allthough I love all the other pairings too - and a lover for many other kpop artists, like Bi(rain), Wheesung, SuperJunior, and whatnot.
I've been a fan for about half a year now, and I can't even imagine how my world would be without TVXQ. I love their spirit, their humble ways, and because of my fandom, I've learned to know friends from all over the world.
As my idols, I will also work hard, maybe someday our unofficial fanclub can become official ^.^
